QUESTION MEME
Raven (
telltaleheart): 10,894 comments (100.00%), played since 2011-01-29 (333 days at 33 comments/day)
This is a notable landmark because it is now the most comments I have ever made on an RP journal. He just surpassed the previous frontrunner... CFUD!Raven. :|b
Anyway, I didn't do one at 10k comments and I want to do one now, so question meme! I just play Raven now, although you can ask questions about Rita at Thusia or about Perscitia if you like, too.

WELL at this particular moment in time Raven is not speaking to Yuri, basically because Yuri got hurt by Vincent and wouldn't talk to him about it or even acknowledge that Raven might be concerned and they had a huge fight. Also he asked Vincent for a secret in the secrets game and Vincent told him he liked Yuri best on his knees :'D and requested that if Raven ever kidnapped him again he ask him first, and basically jabbed hard at the point that Yuri cares more about Vincent and Elliot than he does about Raven. Which Raven has been pretty convinced is true for a while! The part where Vincent came to take Yuri back and knocked Raven out with Dormouse and Yuri just left with him kind of nailed that one in hard. But he was attempting to be diplomatic and start over, and get to know both Yuri and Vincent because Yuri's still important to him and his choices are important to him! But that has sort of... fallen away in light of recent events because both Yuri and Vincent have not really been participating in plan: friendship and diplomacy.
Also until recently Raven was attempting to be neutral on Vincent, but in addition to his fight with Yuri and Vincent being a dick, he also talked to both Itachi and Neji about Vincent, and Itachi told him he didn't like Vincent due to him getting Sasuke hurt and killed, and Neji implied that lots of people don't like Vincent and often have good reasons for it.
SO AT THE MOMENT Raven is very very unsure on Vincent/Yuri - he highly suspects Vincent is a large part of Yuri's emotional reticence and tendency to value his personal well-being below pretty much anything else. But at the same time he is also pretty sure that Yuri cares a lot more about Vincent than Raven's opinion so there's nothing he can do about it. :'D
Oz's impressions of Raven?

The slightly complicated part about Stealth is that he was there for Beauty's choice, and was part of that whole thing, which is... a thing that Raven tries not to think about very much because it broke him a lot and still doesn't really know how to approach it, mentally. So while he's aware there is clearly a thing with Itachi and his brother, and he knows the he saw Raven stepping up and making decisions, arguing with people, etc., he sort of... puts that off to the side in favor of more surface interactions. WE CAN'T START WITH THAT let's start over.
He did appreciate having someone to commiserate with over important people getting fucked over by Vincent though. |D

He also thought Raven handled himself well during Beauty's choice thing, actually, though he would kind of understand if he knew Raven was messed up by it because Itachi kind of was, too, for awhile. He eventually ended up finding a way to deal with it, in part because he's Itachi and making terrible choices is kind of what he does, so he has it in him to deal with it. But he didn't like it and he knows that it was a shitty situation for everyone involved.
What does Raven think of Lark and Kite good ending?

Raven, have you managed to really quit Yuri?
no subject
He definitely does not plan to approach Yuri again and is not likely to change his mind. But that is only because he feels like it's useless and Yuri doesn't actually want him around, not because he doesn't still really want to talk to Yuri, spend time with him, and help him. He still thinks about Yuri a lot, and whenever he does he's reminded of how upset and frustrated and worried he is. But then he circles back on "but Yuri doesn't care about my feelings so there's obviously nothing I can do about it" and shuts it down. It's not... very effective though... I mean he can act like he's fine and functional because he's good at that, but there's still the big gaping emotional wound because he's good at that too. But Yuri is so tied into his past and his concept of himself now that Raven can't really quit him without quitting a huge part of who he is.
Yuri's thoughts on the situation at the moment...
no subject
But at the same time, he is somewhat wary of fixing things because at this point, he knows he's with Vincent for the long haul, and that means a good chance that he's not going home. He's not kidding himself that Raven's better off hating him but he does think Raven is better off distant from him.
Yuri flat out tells Raven he's not going home. REACTION?

/equips "Raven", fights a few battles until the skill is learned. :B

What are all the skills Sakura is learning in magical Sakura land? XD
no subject
I think her current list of aather-land teachers is:
Sword: general strength and endurance training, climbing, eventual sword fighting
Neji: Evasion
Katou: ...'sword' fighting (we have sticks!) or attacking with whatever is on hand.
Itachi: Chakra manipulation
Snake: CCC
Mau: general survival stuff (thus far has learned trap setting, how to gut/clean a rockzile, and making a net)
I...think that is all. But really I just love having people teach Sakura stuff :B
Where does Raven go/what does he do when he wants to get away from it all?

Also he gets a lot of second-hand enjoyment out of talking to her about or helping her with her mechanics. He doesn't get a lot of it obviously, but SHE CLEARLY IS VERY DEDICATED TO IT AND ENJOYS IT A LOT. Which is a thing he has not really... ever been with anything of his own accord. But he loves seeing it in other people and helping them with it where he can.
So yes, Jaina has somehow become the person he talks to about a certain class of Things. And he is pretty happy with this setup.

At the same time it also frustrates her to no end that she can't actually do anything about Raven's problems. XD
SO how'd you decide to app Rita to Thusia? :3

But yes by then Raven was sort of curious about Iolite as a team, and Neji was fond of Lark! So Raven started to poke at him a bit. And while Neji comes off as driven and withdrawn Raven is also capable of getting him to smile or grant that he has a point occasionally, which makes him feel accomplished and like he's not completely spewing hot air, which occasionally he feels like he is. Obviously he still doesn't know much about what is up with Neji, and like a lot of people he thinks he values his own well-being too low, but he gets the feeling he's a good kid overall and he likes talking to him. :B
As a side note, at least a couple times Raven has said to Neji things he would say to Yuri if Yuri would listen to him about it... particularly the whole bit about how he thinks not caring about things like getting hurt or people's lives is a bad thing on its own regardless of the consequences. So in addition to Raven speaking from experience on that point Neji is also kind of getting it redirected from elsewhere. And Neji is at least a little better than Yuri about acknowledging Raven's concern and being willing to get himself healed and stuff. (unsure)

But Neji does tend to file Raven's opinions or view points under "not a ninja" or "not Iolite," so while he does imagine that this is true for OTHER people, other people who are not ninja or not on Iolite, he does often kind of thing... well, that would be right but I'm a ninja. And Iolite is Iolite.
Still, it's kind of nice to pretend that he can be a normal person sometimes, and Raven is pretty high on the list of people who do that for him. XD;

Reverse, also state of the Mitchell.

Anyway yeah more generally he's doing really well at the moment. He has a girlfriend he loves, he has a team he loves and even if two of them have left it's not forever and it's not the book and he can still talk to them sometimes (I should note that Mitchell is like Raven in that Valiant and Lark were excellent moral compasses and influences on him, but Mitchell's not self-aware enough to realise that so much or be worried about how he's going to act without someone like that around all the time). And he's pretty happy with the two new teammates so far: his first impressions are "like Dusk" and "like Lark" so that feels as comfortable as having two new teammates can feel. Annie being in Aather also freaks him out but Amethyst is basically the best team he could hope for for her, and his freakout was really more about his old life and his new life colliding than it was about Annie herself being in Aather, so now that he's had a bit of time to process that it's not so bad.
He basically is just feeling very good about himself right now, very secure in his goodness and helpfulness and ability to be responsible and not Bad.
Just how similar does Raven think he and Mitchell are?
