This is a notable landmark because it is now the most comments I have ever made on an RP journal. He just surpassed the previous frontrunner... CFUD!Raven. :|b

Anyway, I didn't do one at 10k comments and I want to do one now, so question meme! I just play Raven now, although you can ask questions about Rita at Thusia or about Perscitia if you like, too.

She's moody! She's spending most of her time on her projects, which lets her ignore the things that make her unhappy for a while. Vincent has called her out on the fact that she's keeping herself busy, which would probably also bother her if she weren't keeping herself too busy to analyze what it means. DEALING BY NOT DEALING, aka business as usual.

Still primarily working on installing water heaters for everyone, working on drawing up lightsaber schematics to give to Automaton, presumably assembling a garden box for Inara, and she's picking up sword practice in the mornings. Nighttime swimming in the ocean. Sleeping over with Mitchell when she can.

So what is going on with the whole Yuri Vincent Raven thing?

Lots... of things... Some of which I talked about to TK above, but! Let me see if I can do a quick vaguely chronological overview from my perspective.

- For the first while Yuri was in Aather, Raven did not try to be very close to him! At first because he remembered he was lying to Yuri about who he was without knowing the context, and later because he remembered Yuri basically giving him back the will to live and that's a little too heavy a relationship to ask of someone who is still mostly amnesiac.

- Meanwhile Yuri was having sex with a lot of people and particularly Vincent, and they developed a deep and codependent relationship that often involves consensual torture, flaying, stabbing, and bloody sex. Raven knew about very little of this. (He knew Yuri was having sex in general and saw him with a badly scratched-up back one time, I think.)

- Eventually Yuri started interacting with Raven more! A lot of it was in a trolling way, particularly after Raven read Yuri/Raven prison porn Ferris had in her heart. |D Because Raven was attracted to Yuri in addition to being very attached to him in other ways, but was pretty in denial about it since he theoretically doesn't like guys. Yuri picked up on that without too much trouble, though, and pushed at it a lot! There was a dream post with hot springs and Yuri pinning him to the wall of a prison cell wearing nothing but a towel. The denial was pretty much killed off. |D

- Skillswap game happened, Raven had too many feelings in too short of a time, somewhere in there Yuri lied to Raven about the skill he got by draping on him and saying that was a skill he got from Vincent, Raven vaguely got the impression Vincent is someone important to him. Later Yuri drank a lust potion, and Raven admitted to him flat out that he would want to have sex with him except that he has more feelings than he knows what to do with and he couldn't handle Yuri being casual about it.

- Some more bonding stuff happened around here too, including Raven taking care of Yuri when he had his eyes voluntarily gouged out by the lion during storm crisis time and attempted to refuse help. Raven starts being more concerned about Yuri's disregard for his own well-being.

- SOMETIME Yuri got adopted into the Nightray family by Elliot, I don't actually know when that happened.

- Beauty's choice happened, Raven and Yuri bond over having to make terrible decisions. Then it turned out they were the only group left alive, people in the forest were missing, they moved to the new area, Raven had a terrible depressive crash.

- Raven was out at dawn brooding and had a bone ripped out of his forearm by a taraxippoi. Yuri rescued him and took him back to Onyx to get fixed up! After he was healed Raven basically broke down with neediness, Yuri kissed him, and they ended up having sex.

- Yuri gave him very visible hickeys and essentially told Ferris what had happened, so there was no chance of that being even remotely a secret.

- PREDICTABLY, Raven had more feelings than he knew what to do with and could not handle Yuri being casual about it. They had sex once more (while Raven was drunk and still missing a bone in his arm...) but Raven didn't understand what Yuri was getting out of it at all and when he asked Yuri, Yuri said there wasn't anything in particular he wanted from Raven and avoided talking about his own feelings.

- Yuri got a memory back of Estelle asking him to kill her! Raven talked to him about it and reassured him that they ended up rescuing Estelle in the end, but was otherwise was not very comforting because he was still in a depressive funk. Yuri ended up admitting he was thinking about not going back home, Raven argued that Yuri is extremely important to people back home, such as Estelle. Yuri claimed he shouldn't be, and Raven had a fit over Yuri putting himself down like that. Yuri tried to stalk off and eventually provoked Raven into a fight. They had a pretty one-sided fistfight that involved Raven pinning Yuri to the cliff and choking him unconscious when he still refused to acknowledge anything Raven was saying.

- Raven hauled Yuri unconscious back to Tiger's Eye, tied him to a chair, and refused to let him go until he talked to him. :'D Yuri was stubborn for several hours and refused to talk to him. He also told Raven there would be nobody missing him.

- Eventually Vincent showed up to take Yuri back. He talked about how he was missing Yuri's bed, draped all over him, etc. AND THAT IS HOW RAVEN LEARNED YURI AND VINCENT WERE INVOLVED. Raven still wanted Yuri to acknowledge him, but that wasn't happening, and eventually Vincent knocked Raven out with Dormouse and untied Yuri, and Yuri left with him.

- Raven had an even worse depressive funk when he woke up and goes off to Firebird's realm for 24 hours out of time before he was even remotely functional. At that point he is convinced nothing he can do will reach Yuri and avoids talking to him. He also just walks away from Vincent the one time he approaches him.

- Yuri gets a memory back of Raven essentially trying to commit suicide by Yuri's hand and comes to talk to him about it. Raven's resolve breaks down pretty quickly in the face of Yuri's obvious distress over this and the reminder of all the terrible things Yuri's forgiven him for. So they make up, more or less, and Yuri tells him he's with Vincent and was adopted by Elliot. Raven's pretty shellshocked but is happy enough Yuri's talking to him, and Yuri does, after some pressing, acknowledge that he does care about Raven. He still has no answer when Raven asks what he can do for him, though.

- In an attempt at diplomacy, Raven apologizes to Vincent for being unreasonable, :'D and tells him he would like to get to know him better. That does not go entirely terribly, which was pretty much Raven's only goal.

- They are reasonably functional for like a week in here, maybe!

- Then Yuri stabs himself through the foot with a sword in Odile's game and plays it down until Raven insists on bandaging it. When Raven asks why he did that Yuri says he thought it would be appropriate because he stabbed Vincent in the foot once. He brushes off all of Raven's further attempts to convince him that maybe that was not the best thing to do.

- Raven asks Yuri for a quest and gets the week-of-sparring quest! After his conversation with Jaina about it, he is resolved that the sparring quest is his opportunity to start over and really get to know Yuri.

- They have one day of sparring which goes relatively well and they actually talk about some stuff! Though they run into a wall afterwards when Yuri questions him about his heart, which he doesn't want to talk about, and offers to answer one of Raven's own questions in return. Raven pointedly asks why he stabbed Vincent and Yuri says he can't answer that question because it's Vincent's business. Raven is fairly convinced it stops being solely Vincent's business when Yuri stabs himself in the foot, but lets it go while also refusing to talk about his own issue.

- Then Yuri has his ill-fated evening date with Vincent which ends up with Vincent kind of trying to kill him and Yuri sticking it out even though he gets injured.

- Raven shows up for day 2 of sparring to find Yuri passed out on the ground and with a bandaged wrist! He refuses to fight Yuri like that and tells him he should get healed. Yuri doesn't give him any more information than "I had a fight with Vincent" and makes excuses for not getting healed. Raven gets frustrated, Yuri tries to tell him he's not just keeping things from him for the hell of it, Raven counters that no, he's not telling him things because he doesn't think Raven's concern is important, they basically have a huge yelling argument over it, highlights of which include Raven telling Yuri that strangers share more about themselves with him than Yuri does, and Yuri responding to that by telling Raven he means more to him than a stranger. ("Oh, thanks.") Raven ragequits. Or, really, sad-impotent-frustration-quits. Yuri tells him to finish up his sparring quest with another knight.

- Secrets game happens, Vincent is a huge dick and tells him about how he loves having sex with Yuri and how much Yuri cares about Elliot. Itachi talks to him about how Vincent is a huge dick. Neji also later acknowledges that Vincent can be a huge dick.

- Meanwhile Yuri tells Vincent he loves him and they remain super codependent I guess.

- Raven decides he has nothing more to say to Yuri, even though he still cares really deeply about him and is even more worried about his well-being, both mental and physical, and the effect Vincent has on both. Because clearly there is nothing whatsoever that he can do.


...And that's about where we are now I think! That was not remotely quick or short.

Jaina's thoughts on Vincent...?

The best word remains "unsure." On one hand he's done things to lead her to accept him as a possible person to help address some problems, but on the other hand she sometimes sees Vincent being...Vincent...which generally doesn't sit well with her, say when she hears about how he stabbed someone that one time or when he encourages a dragon to sit on her to be force-fed a petrification potion.

Basically! Mix of things she approves of with a things she would clock a man for.

Anything you figure Jaina and Raven do off-screen, since she's a frequent TE visitor?
